(This is just the information I've collected so far, I'll be
adding to it whenever I can.)
1990 - This is around the time when the band formed, according to a Rebelution Entertainment interview. The members were then 12 and 13 years old.
1994 - 500 copies of their first four-song EP were released.
1998 - A German/Swedish company Prime had signed with (and written 6 songs for) fell on hard times and Prime was caught up in litigation until 1998.
1999 - Kasper (drums), gave a demo tape to his brother who passed it along to producer Sanken Sandqvist, who then went to see them play. Late '99: Began recording in Stockholm with Sandqvist. Once American label "Giant" heard the songs, they signed them.
2001 - July 10th: Debut Audio CD, "Underneath The Surface" is released in America.
July 22nd: This site is built (at a different location, tripod.com). I'd say that's a real landmark, wouldn't you? Late '01: Through the second half of the year, Prime STH embarked on their first tour of the United States.
2002 - June 17th: German label Rebelution Entertainment releases Underneath the Surface for the European market. October 1st through 27th: Hurricane/Southside Club Tour of Germany.
2003 - Early/Mid: Working on album, which is currently being mixed.
2004 - January: "Beautiful Awakening", Prime's second album, is finished. The album was self produced by Kasper and Noa from the band at Decibel Studios in Stockholm.
Also in January, the video for "Pieces" was shot in Karlstad, Sweden. February: Prime performs live on Swedish morning show Nyhetsmorgon on the 9th. March: Scandinavian release of Beautiful Awakening on MNW Records, March 10th.
On the 11th, there is a release party at Ost 100 in Stockholm. April: European release with bonus track, April 5th, on Nuclear Blast. September: On the 5th, Beautiful Awakening is released in Japan on Wood Records. October: On the 28th, Prime performs at New York's Lions Den as part of a Swedish Music Seminar.
2005 - March: Prime plays benefit concert in Hong Kong for tsunami relief, March 5th.
